CCTech Launches Data Exchange Connector for PTC Creo on Autodesk Platform Services
CCTech bridges high-precision mechanical CAD and BIM ecosystems, enabling granular, frictionless collaboration via Autodesk Forma (ACC).
PUNE, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Centre for Computational Technologies (CCTech), a digital engineering software solutions provider and Autodesk Platform Services (APS) Systems Integration Partner, has announced the launch of the 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗧𝗖 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗼. Built directly on the Autodesk Data Exchange SDK and cloud infrastructure, the connector enables bi-directional, granular data sharing between PTC Creo Parametric and the Autodesk ecosystem, including Autodesk Revit, Inventor, Rhino, and Autodesk Forma (ACC).As the definitive standard for high-precision mechanical engineering, PTC Creo governs massive, mission-critical assemblies across manufacturing, aerospace, and industrial equipment sectors. Integrating Creo into Autodesk’s Data Exchange ecosystem connects this vital parametric design intelligence directly with BIM workflows, unlocking a unified digital thread between factory-floor fabrication and architectural execution.
Engineering collaboration across Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) and Mechanical Computer-Aided Design (MCAD) has traditionally suffered from monolithic file transfers. Converting heavy assembly models into neutral file formats (STEP, IGES, or SAT) strips away parametric properties, introduces file size bottlenecks, and breaks change-tracking.
Developed by CCTech, the Data Exchange Connector for Creo addresses this challenge by allowing engineers to curate, share, and consume lightweight subsets of 3D geometry and critical metadata without exchanging full proprietary source files.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 & 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀:
𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿, 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: Designers select the components or assembly views they want to share, package them as a Data Exchange and publish to Autodesk Forma (ACC) without leaving Creo.
𝗕𝗶-𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Engineers working in Creo can load and view exchanges generated by upstream teams in Autodesk Revit, Inventor, Rhino, or Grasshopper. When an upstream model changes, a visual notification indicates that an update is available, allowing teams to load the latest revision (e.g., V1 to V2) without re-importing the model.
𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: Structural and architectural teams working in Revit can place exact mechanical equipment envelopes into BIM coordinates, while mechanical teams in Creo reference building boundary conditions—neither requiring access to nor licences for the other’s authoring software.
𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆: Because the exchanges live securely on Autodesk Forma, downstream teams can plug data into Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI for automated bills of materials (BOM), reviews, and stakeholder notifications.
"On a semiconductor fab or a modular construction site, the mechanical model and the building model have to agree, and today they usually don't until someone finds the clash on site. By developing the Creo Data Exchange Connector on Autodesk Platform Services, CCTech is empowering cross-disciplinary engineering teams to eliminate file-translation friction, protect source IP, and work off a shared, granular single source of truth." said Sandip Jadhav, CEO & Co-founder at CCTech.
